We source our leather from a small tannery in New England. Our leather distributor has been around since 1897, and gained notoriety for making leathers for artificial limbs for wounded civil war soldiers.

United StatesBetter than the stock strap
My question to Nutsac is why cannot this item be shipped instead of the other products equipped with the flimsy stock strap. I like this beefier strap for my MBD unit. The swivel snaps at either end are much more suitable than the toggles of the stock strap.

I am very happy with the strap. The placement struck me as a little strange but there is a work around for those who prefer using it with the same placement as the original strap. There are many rings the same size as the two black ones on the bottom. They can be threaded through the loop on top (where the original strap fastened) and the bag can them be carried the same way as the original which I prefer. This is just a small nitpick and in no way lessons my onion of the quality of the strap which is comfortable and of good quality.

I purchased a Satchel-Pro, now called the Satchel 13, back in 2016 as a nice every day tablet carry bag and have loved the look and functionality. It’s still looking great after many years and use as my daily bag. The original strap back then was just a strip of the black fabric, and it’s held up great as well. While looking into some bags more suited for traveling, I saw that they offer the newer strap as separate purchase and thought it would make for a nice upgrade. I was pleasantly surprised by how much of an upgrade it was though. It has the same quality clips as the original, but now features two length adjustments on either side for more flexibility. The padded piece itself is extremely nice both in terms of material quality and comfort. It’s far more comfortable than just the fabric and has made my satchel even more enjoyable to use. Well worth the price to let me get even more years out this great bag.
